Parents a no show

Grade night at the old school house and no one cares.

Not a single parent arrived to challenge my grades. I did watch a couple of teachers get limb from pork chopped after the student apparently lied to their parents regarding grades in English. Kids thought that they were getting Bs.. no Fs instead. Sorry cannot be eligible for girls basketball this quarter because of an f in math too.

I had one class of 8 students where all of them got As.

We just started a movie this week. The movie is "Larger than Life." with Bill Murray. It is about a motivational speaker that inherits an elephant from his father the clown. It gives us a chance to talk about logistics, conductors, and a few expressions such as ,"step on it." The elephant literally stepped on Jack's phone. Jack is played by Bill Murry. It has a scene from Johnson's Corner in Colorado and uses Fresno airport to represent San Diego's at the end of the movie.

Methodology is show 5 minutes of the movie. Explain what is going on. Predict what will happen next. Ask 5 questions. If the class gets three of them right we move on. If they miss three questions we repeat.. with new questions.

Have a great day.

Pat
