Dad, Ken Brown, had an angioplasty (they insert a tube up the blood vessel to unclog and examine the heart blood )yesterday.Upon consultations with the cardio specialists it was determined that the blood flow in the upper left area of the heart was not functioning well enough to be helped with a stint. A stint is a mess tube inserted into the internal part of the clogged vessel similar to a reinforcement of a water hose from the inside. Instead they have planned to do a heart bypass on Friday (this is Wednesday). He is currently in the Kaiser unit on Geary in San Francisco. Please keep him in your prayers.
