Its hard to believe but we have been in school for one quarter so far.
I am off early to post grades electronically at both schools. They are due today so that they may be used for Report card night, on Thursday.
On Report Card night all the teachers spend the evening at a noisy cafeteria and defend their grades to "interested parents." It was established to fend off vouchers and the concept that schools are not response to parent needs.
It is a bit outdated since many of the same parents can see the grades in the grade book right after the teacher enters them through electronic means. This is passworded and on the internet.
The teacher's bone of contention is that it is not available for home submission. The teachers have to be at school to post on the grade book.
So I will go an be served dinner and no one will come and ask what grades I am posting.. oh well
