Back from LA battered and Bruised

Its good to be home. UCLA without traffic is only 4 and half hours away. But each of those minutes you need to be on your toes.

We decided to do one more trip to big D on Wednesday night. I had been in conference for the day and Sue had been resting up to go. We hit the road at 5:30. It took us over an hour to get there. We had to stop and get some gas near the Howard Hughes flyway on the 405. It was kind of exciting to get back on. Big D was crowded even at night. We made our way through CA adventure and everyone was cuing up for the Electrical Parade. We were interesting in another soaring over CA trip. Line was too long.. about an hour. We worked our way over to peter pan.. Mom's favorite. She sang along as we "flew " over London. As we were ready to get something to eat.. we headed over to the Bear Jamboree. We hadn't had a hamburger all week so we were low on the hamburger scale. The y were roping off for fantasia.. Sue and I split so that she could do some shopping on her own.. fireworks happened.. She was at the foot of the castle and when it was over.. she forgot or didn't see the curb. She went over and the chair landed on her. folks in the crowd helped her up and righted the chair. She has a strained wrist and very sore shoulder. The chair still works.. I was waiting for her at the Carnation plaza and didn't have a chance to help much. I bought her a caramel apple on main street and we headed back to UCLA. I can hardly wait to get the photos up on Flickr. I will alert you when they are ready. Sue is doing better today, We left UCLA and the 405 at 11am today.

cats were very happy to see us too.

Ouch! Those curbs are not well marked and quite dangerous even for the walking community! Hope you got some ice on that wrist and shoulder!

Sounds like you had a good time...

I'm jealous!
