Its heating up again. Linzi is quick to point out that it is up to 20 degrees cooler in Sac town. It is also at least 20 degrees cooler than Sacratomato in SF.
The heat is wearing me out.. or is it the first long week of the year with kids. We were practicing ways to say things in a nice way today. It is easy for 9th graders to to put each other down with verbal nuances. Then the return gets nasty and they wonder why people are always shouting at them.
I got the postcards back from Moo of the Disney photos I took. They turned out pretty nice. Some of my readers may look for one in their mailbox. I think that they will serve as thank you cards.
I talked to the auto dealer today and they said that I had to have the car towed down to them to rekey it. They can do it within a half a day using vin numbers. I guess the keys are coordinated with the serial number of the car. That means they won't have to yank out the locks and replace them and re-key. They can look up the key using the vin number to guide the key machine.. pretty fancy.
Tomorrow is Friday and we are set to play Texas 5 second hold em. Some of the students from last year are anticipating this game.. it is their favorite. Basically I give them a question that I am sure that they know the answer. They have to sit on the answer until 5 seconds has elapsed.
We will see how well they do.
